Objective
Create a campaign to promote Boozefish wine bar of Kansas City Missouri and it’s unique ambiance.
Role
Art Director/Photographer/Graphic Designer
As a former resident of Kansas City, Boozefish was one of my favorite establishments to happily hand over my hard earned money for their amazing wine. With decor from France thoughtfully placed throughout, and deep, rich reddened woodworking encasing the simple yet elegant bar, Boozefish was an environment that mixed culture with its atmosphere and delectables and entertainment. It’s attributes such as these, and many others, that granted Boozefish the liberty to claim its distinction.
As a wine lover I was practically drooling over this project as I came up with the concept you see here. I wanted to take components of the wine-drinking experience and recreate more fish to tie in with the already established theme in the bar’s namesake.
In my modest studio I set up each of these shots and performed the necessary post photo retouching to achieve the final product.
To round things out, I called upon a former Bernstein-Rein colleague to conjure an appropriate line. Which he did.
And yes. I ate the grapes. And it took me forever – like a whole week – to go through that much wine. I kid. Or do I kid … ?
