Objective
Create an ad campaign that brings attention to the deficit of American children that are interested in or pursuing degrees in the fields of mathematics, engineering, science, and technology. America imports 20,000 foreign workers each year to account for the scarcity.
Role
Team: Art Director/Graphic Designer & Copywriter
Our American society might be a little too drenched in pop culture if we’re finding that most kids want to be the next LaBron James or Beyoncé and ignoring some of the very fields that have given us much of what put American on the map. These fields – mathematics, engineering, science, and technology – have been discarded as too dorky, not cool, or not a good way to be successful by the children who have come up and are coming up in our population.
Our goal was to position known figures from the Kansas City metropolitan as superstars, or famous, and grab attention with the juxtaposition created in the scene of superstar and enthralled kids.
The photography and retouching was completed by Nick Vedros and The Wade Brothers located in Kansas City, MO.
